Doll Care & Maintenance
Doll Care & Maintenance
If you notice that your doll’s surface feels less soft or smooth over time, light conditioning can help restore its natural texture.
How to Apply Oil and Powder
-
Clean the doll thoroughly
Make sure the doll’s surface is clean and completely dry before starting. -
Apply a small amount of mineral oil
Gently massage a thin layer of mineral oil onto the surface. Do not over-apply. -
Allow full absorption
Wait until the oil is fully absorbed into the material. -
Apply baby powder
Once absorbed, lightly dust the surface with baby powder to maintain a smooth, dry finish.
How Often Should You Do This?
-
Light powdering: about once a month, depending on usage
-
Oiling: every few months, only when needed
Always use moderation. Excess oiling or powdering is unnecessary and should be avoided.
Why Oil and Powder Are Important
Over time, TPE material naturally releases oils, which may reduce surface softness. Applying mineral oil helps replenish these oils and maintain flexibility.
After cleaning, TPE may feel slightly sticky. Light powdering helps:
-
Reduce surface tackiness
-
Prevent dust and lint from sticking
-
Keep the surface smooth and clean
Proper care will extend the life of your doll and preserve its original feel and appearance.
